Chocolate Weekend

I fixed my oven this week and I will be baking some chocolate this weekend. My guess is that it will be cookies and cakes. I can't wait to start. I haven't baked cookies in over a year. I will let you know how it goes...

Over the weekend, I made chocolate truffles for the first time.

OMG!

They were super easy to make and they taste soooooo much better than what you buy. Who knew cream, butter and chocolate could be this good.

The coating dissolves slowly on your tongue. Then the dark chocolate insides start melting over the sides of your tongue.

OMG!

I am going to have to make them again. And make a larger batch!

Chocolate Truffles!

Either later today or tomorrow, I will be making my first attempt at making Chocolate Truffles. If I succeed, I will tell you about them and give you my recipe.

Cookie Alert!

For those of you who like Chocolate and Coconut, have I found a cookie for you. It is a Chocolate Coconut Macaroon. It is awesomely delicious and you can find it at, of all places, 7-11.

The cookie is large, soft, and full of chocolate and coconut. My taste buds are in lust just thinking about it at this moment.

Go and get one. Your taste buds will thank you!

I normally do not eat store-bought cookies, but I have been eating some my wife bought the other day. Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chunk. Not too sweet, not too soft, not too hard. And the chocolate is very tasty. I have to stop eating them now so there will be some left for the kids later. I am just too good to them!

I like all kinds of chocolate, though I am partial to dark chocolate. I have eaten chocolate on just about everything. It didn't always taste great, but hey, it was CHOCOLATE.
